Topic: One Beat Rhythm Groups
Task 1: Watch the video 1 and video 2 on 7 different rhythm groups, each worth 1 beat.
Task 2: Print out the floor rhythms and create different rhythms using the one beat groups in each of the 2/4, 3/4 and 4/4 time signatures. Play them as a class.
Task 3: On the worksheet, Create your own rhythm piece made up of your choice of 7 different rhythm groups.
Task 4: Perform your rhythm piece.

Topic: Recognising rhythms
Task 1: If you haven’t done so already, watch the videos from the following topic: One Beat Rhythm Groups, and complete that lesson first.
Task 2: Watch the video and identify which rhythm is playing for all 20 questions. Print out the worksheet and use it to circle your answers. The answers are given at the end of the video so you can mark your work.
Task 3: The second part of this lesson is for you listen to the 10 rhythms and work out the order in which the one beat rhythms are played.
