TEACHER INFORMATION

I have spent many years working in a secondary school classroom as Teacher of Music, Head of Music and Head of Faculty. Over those years, I have taught all years from year 7 to 13 inclusive of Key Stage 3, GCSE and A Level. I have been responsible for writing schemes of work and managing the Music Department or Performing Arts Faculty. I set up Serenity Music Tuition in 2021 whilst still working part time in the classroom. In 2023 I decided to leave classroom teaching to run Serenity Music Tuition full time. During my time as a teacher, I have worked with hundreds of students to help them to achieve the highest grades at GCSE and A level music. I am lucky enough to continue this work with some of my students in my role now, guiding them with GCSE and A level performances and compositions. I have accompanied hundreds (if not thousands!) of students on piano for GCSE and A level performances. I have also played piano for many, many school concerts, showcases and musicals and have been musical director/pianist for ‘Annie’, ‘Grease’, ‘West Side Story’, ‘The Sound of Music’ and ‘The Addams Family’, to name but a few. I have spent my life working with students who adore music, and I consider myself extremely lucky that I am able to continue to do that now in my role as piano teacher at Serenity Music Tuition.
