ABRSM Aural Tests – Describe the Character of the Piece
Here is the sheet I use to help my students answer the ‘character’ description in their aural tests. They use the acronym ‘D.R.A.T.T’ which stands for Dynamics, Rhythm, Articulation, Tempo and Tonality. They choose a mood word and then use the words under the headings to help them to formulate sentences in their description. It downloads as a PDF prints out on one page of A4. The frame on the photo is just for visual effect and is not shown on the printed copy.
