Welcome my Online Music Note Flashcard called ‘Flashing Flashcards’! These have been designed to help you with your note reading in your piano lesson. Each flashing flashcard shows the note’s position on the stave in relation to the position of the key on the piano.
Remember, I have also created lots of resources designed around helping students to read music. You can visit the ‘Free Downloadable Music Resources’ section by CLICKING HERE or you can view the music videos I have created by CLICKING HERE.

Ledger Line Notes
For higher pitched bass clef notes and lower pitched treble clef notes, we have to use ‘ledger lines’. Music notes are placed on ledger lines when we are moving below the treble clef stave or above the bass clef stave. The notes you can see below are the SAME notes – one written in bass clef and one written in treble clef. Compare the flashing notes – the same note is flashing on the treble and the bass clef note.
Study the 8 extra flashing flashcards (they are not clickable!) which show the music notes on ledger lines.
Complete the quiz to test your knowledge on all notes you have learnt on levels 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5!
