Grade 1 Theory – Intervals

 

This chapter introduces intervals for grade 1 theory. You need to understand intervals in the following keys:


  • C Major  
  • G Major 
  • D Major 
  • F Major

There are 7 intervals in all major keys.

These intervals are created from the tonic note and each of the other notes in the major scale.

The intervals produced are 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8ve (octave).
